Stop smoking pills

In quit smoking on November 9, 2008 at 6:48 pm

It is a common thing for people to prefer taking a stop smoking pill to trying a “Cold Turkey” treatment, the latter being based entirely on self control and very few succeed in it. Drinking a glass of water with a stop smoking pill is easy and appropriate for any active person. Some of the top stop smoking pills are Zyban and Wellbutrin, they are the classical treatments that most doctors recommend. These stop smoking pills when combined with counseling sessions can give very good results to most patients. Zyban is a favorite stop smoking pill known to be a first choice as it favors the blood cleaning by increasing circulation and stimulating several glands. This stop smoking pill will make a person feel like he or she has just smoked a cigarette. Most doctors say that these stop smoking pills fight against the physical problem by eliminating nicotine from the body, but they don’t work on the psychological craving.

Any stop smoking pill must be taken at least for a week and the doctor’s advice is crucial in this time interval to avoid any unpleasant side effects. The prescribed dose of the stop smoking pill usually varies from patient to patient. Several factors are to be taken into consideration, for how many years the person has been smoking, and how much he/she smokes a day, age and other health problems must be noted. Problems like dry mouth and insomnia are common side effects inflicted by any stop smoking pill but these unpleasant symptoms won’t put your health in danger at all. Zyban is a powerful stop smoking pill and after repeated administration it will take about one week or more to disappear from the blood. People who suffer from stomach problems or any pulmonary diseases like bronchitis must avoid this stop smoking pill.

Stop smoking pills mustn’t be administrated to people who are under antidepressant treatments as serious complications can appear. The most important fact when turning to stop smoking pills is that you must consult your doctor before administration. Newer and more complex stop smoking pills have appeared on the market that suppress the nicotine receptors from the persons brain so that if one smokes no satisfaction comes with it. Stop smoking help

If you want to quit and you’ve promised yourself so many times that this is the last cigarette you’ll ever smoke, but every time you fail again and again, it’s time to ask for some stop smoking help. This method you are trying is called “Cold Turkey” and as the name suggest it means quitting suddenly and never returning to this habit without any stop smoking help. Though it may seem brave to do something like this very few succeed. Without stop smoking help very few smokers would quit smoking for good  since they are facing the craving problems. The mortality factor is huge among smokers, 4 million people die every year from smoking-caused diseases. Though the number may seem terrifying think that over a million succeed each year in quitting, so if you try and turn to a stop smoking help program you can also be a winner.

Maybe you’ve tried quitting before and failed, for some unknown reason you didn’t find the right stop smoking help. The main idea is not to give up. Most of the ex-smokers tried several times before managing to quit for good. Using stop smoking help and advice you increase significantly your chances of success. When talking with ex-smokers you can regain confidence and find support in difficult moments so don’t hesitate to open to suggestions.  Statistics report that a person that tried several times before to quit smoking and didn’t succeed has a higher chance to make it next time with the correct stop smoking help. Pregnant women need all the stop smoking help they can get as the baby’s health is at stake also. A high percentage of the children that are exposed to second hand smoke suffer from asthma or other respiratory disorders so if you ever think about quitting now is the best time.

Stop smoking help programs show many people where to start, and how to deal with cravings and stick to a cigarette-free lifestyle. Lots of stop smoking help is necessary to make a plan first, because the “Cold Turkey” method is too difficult for heavy smokers. To get professional stop smoking help find a specialist that can guide you with competent advice or you may get involved in some stop smoking help classes where ex-smokers come and try to assist any way they can. As most experts say the best stop smoking help comes from an ex-smoker so if you have a family member or a friend that quit smoking long time ago it is a good idea to spend as much time with him or her as possible.

Drug and Alcohol Relapse Prevention – Quit Smoking Cigarettes For Best Results

Drug and Alcohol Relapse Prevention – Quit Smoking Cigarettes For Best Results
By Bill Urell

Smoking cigarettes can greatly increase the risk of returning to drug and alcohol use.

There is a growing body of evidence provided by research studies that shows that smokers have a significantly higher rate of relapse back to drug and alcohol use than non-smokers. This should come as no surprise when we look at nicotine use as consuming a drug.

Nicotine is a drug, it is mood altering, highly addictive, and a poison.

In drug and alcohol treatment, the concept of complete abstinence from all mood altering substances is almost universally accepted. Why has nicotine been traditionally excluded? I am not sure, quite possibly because of historical social acceptance of smoking. Condoning nicotine use for an alcoholic or drug addict is almost like telling an alcoholic to give up rum, scotch and beer…but tequila is OK.

There is a popular myth that trying to quit using nicotine products while giving up drugs and alcohol is too much to handle. The new evidence shows the reverse is true; people attempting to stop smoking while in treatment for drugs and alcohol actually have a higher rate of success. Arguably, for a smoker, a key element in their drug and alcohol relapse prevention plan is to stop smoking.

This higher rate of success makes sense if we look at some key elements of how to quit smoking and their ready availability during drug and alcohol treatment.

1. Getting support and setting a date. In treatment, counseling, encouragement and peer support is readily available.

2. Learning alternative coping skills. An important element in quitting smoking is to make concrete changes in dealing with situations where smoking occurred. For example, handling boredom or stress.

3. Preparing a relapse prevention plan. A prepared plan to handle difficult situations is like an insurance policy; you may never need it, but it is wise to have it in place.

These are important elements in any type of relapse prevention plan. There is a great deal of additional information available on relapse prevention and quitting smoking.

And now I would like to invite you to discover our extensive relapse prevention plan information available at our authority site. You may also claim our free, massive, Addiction Recovery Help Guide. To gain instant access, visit us at: http://AddictionRecoveryBasics.com

Side Effects Of Quitting Smoking

In Uncategorized on June 18, 2008 at 8:46 pm

Quit smoking side effects

Most smokers who want to quit fail because of the quit smoking side effects, eliminating nicotine from your body is very hard and the battle can be harder than you think. Most quit smoking side effects are related to the blood sugar levels. Symptoms like inability to concentrate, dizziness or headaches may usually appear in the first three or four days. The quit smoking side effects are also called withdrawal symptoms and their intensity varies with each individual. All known statistics show that ex-smokers live longer and healthier than any smoker, and this should be a strong reason for anyone to quit. The battle with quit smoking side effects is tough particularly during the first days after quitting, you may feel irritable, confused, depressed or anxious. The cause for these quit smoking side effects is the reduced level of nicotine in the blood.

Some therapists recommend the use of nicotine inhalers, nicotine gums or patches since they release a small quantity of nicotine in the blood reducing the quit smoking side effects. Smokers who already suffer from depression or anxiety can hardly quit as they use cigarettes as a relief, in such cases psychological treatment is a must. Quit smoking side effects will be very hard to deal with for people with a stressful life, as nicotine has a relaxing effect on the human body. So in order to avoid severe quit smoking side effects the person should ask for professional help and attend ex-smoker discussions. Other quit smoking side effects which may appear include insomnia or putting on weight.

Specialists say that putting between 5 and 10 pounds of weight after you quit smoking is one of the normal quit smoking side effects. The weight problem is caused by the low levels of sugar in your blood. After smoking the nicotine passes into the blood in a matter of seconds releasing sugar reserves from the body, sugar is vital to the brain normal functioning. But the sugar passes from normal food to the blood in about 20 minutes. One quit smoking side effect is that you will feel the need to eat because your brain is asking for sugar. The problem that people don’t understand is that no matter how much you eat the body will still need 20 minutes to pass the sugar to the brain, so theoretically it won’t be a big difference between eating a candy or ten of them. Smoking and Surgery Don’t Mix, How to Quit for your Health

In Uncategorized on April 8, 2008 at 10:52 pm

Are you a smoker who is scheduled to have surgery? No matter what kind of surgery you are having, your health will suffer if you decide to smoke for several weeks before and after your surgery. As difficult as it is, if you are going to have surgery, you should seriously consider quitting for your health.

Smoking and Surgery: What Can Go Wrong

There are a number of complications, risks, and potential infections that can develop as a result of smoking pre- or post-surgery. What exactly can go wrong? Here’s a run-down on the most common and serious complications that can arise as a result of smoking pre- or post-surgery:

Wound Infection. One of the most common complications that can occur if you smoke is wound infection. Smoking, in effect, steals oxygen from cells that are in the process of healing. Smoking is a risk factor for wound infection in almost any kind of surgery. Researchers have found that smokers continue smoking before surgery are at a much higher risk of developing wounds that do not heal properly.

Cardiopulmonary complications. Tobacco smoke is very hard on the heart, lungs, and the entire immune system. If you are scheduled for any type of heart surgery, it is imperative that you quit smoking for at least six weeks before your surgery.

Vasoconstriction. Vasoconstriction refers to the shrinking of the small blood vessels. Many heavy smokers are apt to experience vasoconstriction because smoking steals available oxygen from cells. When this happens, the small blood vessels shrink and the amount of hemoglobin that is needed to move oxygen from one part of the body to another. Smoking also interferes with other chemicals that let the body release enough oxygen to the cells.

Post-surgery complications are greater for smokers. Scientists at Bispebjerg University Hospital in Denmark found that patients who quit smoking before surgery were significantly less likely to develop complications post-surgery. The researchers found that, on average, patients who quit smoking pre-surgery were kept in the hospital two days less than those who kept smoking before their surgery.

Remember, you should strive to come to surgery with a body that is at its healthiest. The trauma of surgery is hard on your body. Smoking will only make it harder for your body to heal. In some cases, surgeons may even elect not to treat a patient if they are smokers.

Smoking Cessation for Surgery

If you’re a smoker, the best thing you can do for your body prepare for surgery is to quit altogether, or at least reduce dramatically the number of cigarettes you smoke each day. Recent research suggests that smokers stop smoking at least six to eight weeks prior to surgery. Unfortunately, many of the smoking cessation products that would normally be available to smokers are not recommended for those heading into surgery. Nicotine gum and nicotine patches are not advised for surgery patients. The nicotine in the gum acts similarly as cigarette nicotine, interfering with the healing process in much the same manner. Nicotine patches are also dangerous because the flow of nicotine can interfere with the flow of blood.

Many hospitals and clinics offer smoking cessation clinics that help surgery patients stop smoking before their scheduled surgery. Here are a few general guidelines on smoking cessation for surgery.

Stop immediately. If you are scheduled for upcoming surgery, you don’t have time to wean yourself off cigarettes. Most doctors advise that you stop smoking as soon as you are told about your surgery. For many people, the health scare is enough to throw the cigarettes out!

Read up on your surgery. Take the time to learn about your surgery. This will help you stay focused on your health, and the importance of keeping your body in good shape for the surgery. While you don’t have to go into detail, become familiar with the procedure.

Speak to your physician about smoking cessation aids you can use. Many times, surgery patients are unable to use such smoking cessation aids as nicotine gum and the nicotine patch. Find out what options are available for your specific case.

Quit together. Find someone to quit with you. Making the commitment to quit with someone else will help keep you focused on staying cigarette-free. Also, you should strive to maintain a smoke-free household during your recovery. Some doctor’s recommend that all household smokers quit or dramatically reduce smoking during the patient’s recovery period.

The health benefits of stopping smoking start almost immediately

In Uncategorized on April 7, 2008 at 6:04 am

The health benefits of stopping smoking start almost immediately. After:

  • 20 minutes: Blood pressure and pulse return to normal
  • 8 hours: Nicotine and carbon monoxide levels in the blood are halved, oxygen levels in the blood return to normal
  • 24 hours: Carbon monoxide is eliminated from the body and the lungs start to clear out the build up of tar
  • 48 hours: There is no nicotine left in the body. Taste and smell are greatly improved
  • 72 hours: Breathing becomes easier, bronchial tubes begin to relax, energy levels increase
  • 2 – 12 weeks: Circulation improves, making walking and running a lot easier
  • 3 – 9 months: Coughs, wheezing and breathing problems improve
  • 5 years: Risk of heart attack is halved
  • 10 years: Risk of lung cancer is halved.
  • If your health is not enough to convince you to quit smoking then what about one of the following:

Money: With the high cost of cigarettes, stopping a pack-a-day habit is like a substantial monthly pay rise. You can also save money in other ways as life, fire and car insurance can all be cheaper, because non-smokers are less likely to die early, start fires in the home, or have accidents while driving. Ask your broker!

Addiction: Many smokers hooked on smoking, and self-control.

The Mess: Cigarette smoke, ash and butts stink. Giving up will not only make your hair, clothes and breath smell nicer, but it will improve your house and car too. House buyers will offer less for a house that’s stained and smelly from smoking.

Job Prospects: 85% of British work places have some kind of restriction on smoking, so you’ll be able to get on with your work more quickly if you don’t have to keep nipping out for a cigarette break. It can also improve your chances of getting a new job as employers can employ only non-smokers if they wish.

A PACK-A-DAY HABIT COSTS YOU MORE THAN JUST A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF MONEY, IT COSTS YOU YOUR HEALTH!

    Causes of Cancer

In Uncategorized on March 26, 2008 at 11:15 pm

There was a movie in the 1990’s called ‘The Medicine Man’, where a scientist discovers the cure for cancer; almost on a weekly basis, new advances are made in conquering this terrible disease. Think about that for a moment; can you even imagine the impact this would have on our world if the suffering of so many people could be put to an end? Research over the years has helped our understanding of cancer but not to the point where we are able to foretell exactly when it will happen.

First off it is a good idea to understand exactly what cancer is and try to ascertain whether it is hereditary or something you can acquire. Firstly, it is a disease that starts as a group of abnormal cells that continue to divide; they cross over to other cells and sites of the body continuing to grow and divide.

A benign tumor, unlike a malignant cancerous one, does not continue to grow and invade other cells. They affect many people without them even knowing they are there. In rare circumstances a benign tumor may turn malignant. Whilst it is not generally a young person’s disease, it can occur at any age; cancer is responsible for about 13 percent of all deaths worldwide. Most cancers are caused by some form of poison in the cells which creates abnormalities in the genetic makeup of those cells; cigarette smoke is a predisposing factor to a number of cancers.

Although genetic abnormalities may be caused by it they may also be randomly acquired through problems in the body’s DNA replication; a genetic trait may be inherited and thus present in all cells from birth. Complex relationships between carcinogens and a person’s genetic makeup may explain why only some develop it after exposure to a known carcinogen.

Cancer is one of the top ten diseases that are researched regularly throughout the world and the truth is we have learned a great deal from studies performed around the globe. More information is being gathered about all illnesses and why some people are more prone to certain conditions. We all want to know more about the causes of cancer what we can do to help prevent this illness from striking.

Over recent years, concern has been made public over the possibility that our dietary habits may be partly to blame for the incidence of the condition. There are certain foods that are considered risky such as excess salt in the diet, too much saturated fat and overindulgence in dairy foods. In particular, excess calcium is believed to have a direct effect on the incidence of prostrate cancer amongst men around the world.

No-one is immune from cancer. It can affect anyone at some time in a person’s life. Sometimes the disease is only picked up through routine screening. Usually the cancer is at an early stage and a person may have a better chance of being cured. the number of different types of cancer that can be treated has increased dramatically in recent years with so much intensive research being carried out. All this research is gradually leading towards more effective treatments for cancer and it is not always the terminal disease it used to be.

Ban considered on display of cigarettes

In Uncategorized on March 24, 2008 at 8:38 pm

Displaying cigarettes in shops could be banned in England under government plans being considered to cut smoking and discourage children from starting.

Tougher controls on vending machines in pubs and restaurants are also being discussed, and the public will be consulted on the proposals soon.

Ex-smoker and Tory leader David Cameron said the idea was worth looking at.

But the Association of Convenience Stores said the move would be ineffective and present major problems.

It said forcing shops to hide their cigarettes would create practical difficulties and result in extra expense for shop owners.

    Under the counter

Outlining the proposals, Public Health Minister Dawn Primarolo said it was “vital” to teach children that “smoking is bad”.

“If that means stripping out vending machines or removing cigarettes from behind the counter, I’m willing to do that,” she said.

Ms Primarolo stressed: “Children who smoke are putting their lives at risk and are more likely to die of cancer than people who start smoking later.”

Opposition leader Mr Cameron backed the idea, saying: “As someone who struggled with giving up smoking, it helps if you take away some of the temptation.

“It is difficult and there will be all sorts of problems in terms of the layout of shops, that’s why it is right to have a consultation.

Let’s not rule it out,” he added.

The measures could effectively force the sale of cigarettes and tobacco products under the counter in convenience shops and supermarkets.

Measures that make it easier to sell nicotine replacement gums and patches are also under consideration.

The Department of Health, which is keen to prevent youngsters from smoking, has cited research that suggests someone who starts smoking at the age of 15 is three times more likely to die of smoking-related cancer than someone who starts in their late 20s.

The proposed measures come after this year’s Budget in which Chancellor Alistair Darling increased the duty on tobacco, adding 11p to the price of a packet of 20 cigarettes and 4p to the price of five cigars.

The chancellor also said the government was continuing the 5% reduced rate of VAT on smoking cessation products beyond 30 June.

A ban on smoking in public places and workplaces in England came into force last July.

Bans were introduced in Scotland in 2006, and in Wales and Northern Ireland in 2007

    Afraid To Stop Smoking?

In Uncategorized on March 23, 2008 at 8:41 pm

    Submitted By: Declan Stanley

If it is that easy to stop smoking with hypnosis/NLP why do so many people continue to smoke?

In my experience I have found that for most people the answer comes down to one thing…FEAR!

    FEAR that you’ll never be able to continue your life as a non smoker and be completely free of nicotine;
    FEAR that you’ll put on weight or start biting your fingernails;
    FEAR that you’ll have to give up the pleasurable crutch that your smoking habit seems to give you;
    FEAR that in order to become smoke free you have to through some kind of terrible trauma or painful feelings;
    FEAR that when you become smoke free you are unable to enjoy life or handle stress;
FEAR of failure in your attempts to become smoke free.

All of these examples of FEAR are simply potential symptoms of the one simple reason that until now you have not been able to stop smoking and this in itself is another FEAR

The fear that it will prove too difficult and far too painful when you attempt to stop smoking!

Hypnosis or NLP, or anything else, cannot magically remove your need or desire to smoke. But it helps control your cravings, your urge to smoke. With the techniques you learn during our stop smoking program you gain tools to help you deal with stressful situations, whether by using a cue, a breathing technique or a mantra, without falling back to smoking.

Fear is the reason why most people are happy and content to stay in the their comfort zone even though they complain about what goes on around them. As the saying goes: “better the Devil you know”. There is a comfort about complaining. Do you know someone who drains you by constantly complaining? You ask “how are you” and you actually get to hear all about their woes and pains when in fact you just want a pleasantry back.

What is F.E.A.R. and why am I writing it like that. Well, let’s look at the letters:

    F is False

    E is Expectation

    A is Appearing

    R is Real

Fear = False Expectations Appearing Real

Now say it again and again.

Now think of situations that made you fearful, but you did it anyway and then when it was over, you wondered why it had bothered you so much.

So don’t let your False Expectations Appearing Real hold you back. Take control of your life and quit smoking now.

    Tips for Staying Smoke Free

    * Avoid smokers at least for the first 3 weeks.
    * Avoid nicotine patches, gum etc. – you could become addicted to these instead!

The Danger of Smoking in Relation with Heart Disease

In Uncategorized on March 23, 2008 at 10:22 am

    by Cindy Heller

There are those individuals who are in rejection in regards to the relationship between heart disease and smoking. Often, this rejection is based upon self-denial and the need to smooth out any criticism deflected towards smoking; or the rejection comes from those who profit from the sale of cigarettes. Granted, smoking stays legal and a personal preference, but it is also a risky practice and individuals must recognize that a smoking habit can contribute to severe heart disease over time.
Past belief that contribute to heart diseaseIf you are an admirer of classic television programs or old movies, there is something that is so overpowering that it can not be ignored and that is the dreadful number (by today’s standards) of people who are smoking. If you look at old episodes of Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show, he carelessly puffs on a cigarette all the way through the bulk of the program; classic films of the 1930’s and 1940’s are full with actors puffing away during the duration of the program; and, most peculiar in display, there is a scene in 1973’s The Exorcist where the doctors are smoking in the examination scene.

Yes, at one time, smoking was so ordinary and present in the world that it gained a foothold in pop culture. The reason this was so widespread was because close to 50% of the community was seriously addicted to tobacco. Sadly, this compulsion was not without effect as significant volumes of lung cancer and heart disease amplified to coincide with the enormous spike in individuals who took pleasure in their cigarettes.

You are a smoker, and you cannot picture ever stopping. You are so addicted to the nicotine, that you do not care the fact that you cannot taste food or breathe properly for years. However, family and friends are becoming more and more worried for your health. Therefore, you should know that there is a direct association between smoking and heart disease.

    How smoking creates heart disease

Whether it was in a magazine, or in the newspaper, undoubtedly you have seen the caution in regard to smoking and heart disease. However, you most likely just overlook it and think “It will never occur to me.” Well, the reality is that it can, and in all probability it will, if you do not quit smoking soon.

Firstly, have you ever been in a big city near a truck in traffic and had to shut your car window because of the fumes that were being expelled by the truck? Those fumes are carcinogens, and those carcinogens are what can be originated in your cigarettes.

The carcinogens found in cigarettes are part of the relationship between smoking and heart disease. These substances that are in the cigarette get absorbed into the blood flow. As the result, the blood is contaminated, and you have to remember that the blood is pumped through the heart.

As the blood is pumped through the heart, the nicotine from the cigarettes also develops in the blood flow. As a result, the blood becomes thick, which can create clots. Also, the nicotine will build up in the valves leading to the heart, which can become a risk factor for heart attack.

Smoking causes a number of devastating effects on the human body including respiratory problems, the stunting of development, etc. When it comes to the consequences on the human heart, continuous inhalation of smoke over an extended period of years, perhaps the most major effect that smoke has is the fact that it narrows the arteries. When this takes place, the blood flow through the arteries becomes limited. Needless to say, this is a hazardous state as a potential heart attack is a significant possibility.

Bear in mind the negative effects of smoking on the human heart are not immediate. Unlike, say, a cocaine overdose where an enormous influx of stimulation overloads the heart at one time, the effects of smoking are slow but sure. Because of this, even a person who has been smoking for an extended number of years may be able to avoid a severe condition provided they give up smoking before a destructive condition takes hold.

Needless to say, any smoker who has fears of contracting heart disease should throw the pack of cigarettes out the window as soon as possible. It would be the best health decisions a person could make.

So, now that you know the relationship between smoking and heart disease, you truly should consider stopping smoking. If you have just started smoking, you are at an advantage when it comes to your health, because the nicotine has not had adequate amount of time to create those serious health problems yet.

However, if you have been smoking for years, your health is in problem if you continue smoking. Possibly you have seen a picture of the lungs of a smoker, if you have not, one way to explain them is black trash bags. You surely do not desire your lungs to look like that now do you?

Smoking: Two ways you can kill your kids

In Uncategorized on March 22, 2008 at 7:36 pm

    By Simon Driscoll

Smoking, we know it is bad for us, we might even realise that it’s bad for those around us – but I don’t think many of us appreciate how dangerous it is to even be seen smoking around our kids.

In a new poll of visitors to www.StopSmokingShop.co.uk it was found that 78% of smokers were brought up by parents who smoked. That’s an amazing figure that hints that your smoking around the kids may be sending our signals that it’s really okay to smoke – no matter how many times you tell them that it’s a filthy habit.

This statistic is backed up by other evidence. In a study of parental influence on children’s smoking habits by University of Washington it was found that children of smokers were twice more likely to start smoking than kids from non-smoking families.

Even if you do strike it lucky and your child decides not to copy mum and dad and become a smoker, the damage you are doing to your kid’s health if you smoke around them can be enormous. Second hand smoke, even in small amounts, contains 40 dangerous chemicals – some of which can cause cancer. Your children can suffer from reduced lung function and asthma. They won’t be coming home with any prizes from sports day. Second hand smoke has also been linked to sudden infant death syndrome (cot deaths), leukemia and lung infections.

So, if the second hand smoke doesn’t kill them, becoming a copy-cat smoker very likely will. 50% of smokers die from a smoking-related illness. That’s two chances you have to kill your kids through smoking – or if you look at it another way, two chances you have of saving their lives if you quit.

Quitting smoking without gaining weight can be a miserable stressful experience because of the nicotine withdrawals. Here you will find about cancer and natural health products I took and still take to detox after quitting smoking the nicotine from my system along with nicotine replacement therapy nicotine gum, nicotine patch, and no nicotine therapy, no nicotine herbal patch to quit smoking. Some of many chemical agents and carcinogens that are in cigarettes and cigarette smoke.

People who are smoking are aware of the harmfulness without love for themselves or humanity, quit smoking when diagnosed with severe sickness from smoking in hopes of gaining extra days to spend with there family. You will quit smoking when your doctor tells you that you are going to die. My father quit smoking after he was told he had a month to live. He took better care of himself gaining 7 extra years. He lost weight and fought every day for a breath. And without his youngest son by his side passed away, he had arrived the following day.

I quit smoking without gaining weight so can you. I could not quit smoking until I saw how much weight my father lost and eventually he lost the battle and past away. Mental commitment to quit smoking is the key to quitting cold turkey without other harmful chemicals or strange hypnosis. Combine mental commitment along with natural health products and nicotine replacement and no nicotine therapy you better your chances of quitting smoking. One of many excuses smokers use to putting off smoking is I will gain weight if I quit smoking, without even cutting back on there puffing. Quitting smoking does not mean you will gain weight its all in your head. When you smoke your blood circulation increases and when that occurs you burn calories.

Exercise when you get cravings to smoke this increases your blood circulation and burns calories. Don’t numb your cravings by eating. Exercise when you quit smoking and you will not gain weight. To quit smoking without gaining weight is one thing but what about the fact that nicotine is so addictive; more addictive than cocaine heroin and other drugs. And that is why your body is always wanting more and more.

”Quit smoking without gaining weight” No!!! quit smoking so you could breath better, and your family does not get respiratory problems or cancer. ” Quit smoking without gaining weight ” What about quitting because of the pesticide (Nicotine), formaldehyde and other lethal chemicals added to the tobacco which make it even more addictive and deadlier than nicotine alone. Here are 12 of 599 government approved toxins added to cigarettes; Turpentine, PropyleneGlycol, Lead, Formaldehyde, Cadmium, Benzoapyrene, Butane , Benzene , Ammonia , Arsenic, acetone, and Zyklon B, (also called hydrocyanidic acid).

Quit Smoking Without Gaining Weight and Carbon monoxide, nicotine and toxin levels in your bloodstream will return to normal levels. You will breath easier, food will taste better and you won’t smell like nicotine and smoke. Also cutting back the risks of cancer and heart disease.

” Quit smoking without gaining weight ” quit smoking because you identify with the fact that its not a habit its an addiction and sickness. And that is why you smoke not because your bored or you need to fit in or look cool and cope with stress. This is all subconsciously in your mind. What you are doing is really subsiding the crave for nicotine and government approved toxins by smoking a cigarette.

” Quit smoking without gaining weight ” this is not why smoking was banned in enclosed work and public places or with children in the car. Quit to stay alive and healthy, life is too short. Stop the addiction stop spreading the harmfulness, identify with the sickness and side effects. Know the truth keep you and your family healthy and alive.

    Stop Smoking Programs

In Uncategorized on March 22, 2008 at 4:15 pm

    by Richard Adams

Giving up smoking is one of the hardest habits of all to break and while the odd person gets lucky and finds quitting the easiest thing in the world, most of us need all the help we can get.
And this is of course where a wide range of stop smoking programs come in.There are essentially two elements to breaking the smoking cycle. One of these is getting rid of the nicotine dependency, the other being breaking the physical habit.Generally it only takes 2-3 days to rid your body for 90%+ of the nicotine so this tends to be the easier of the two to break.Amusingly, when you consider it, most stop smoking programs actually focus specifically on this nicotine withdrawal element.

Smoking patches, inhalers and nicotine gum all serve to replace the nicotine in your cigarettes with nicotine in another form.

The only real gain therefore is that you stop the harmful toxins – tar and other cancer-causing agents – from entering your body but you are still, to all intents and purposes, hooked on smoking.

After that 2-3 day window has passed, when any possible nicotine withdrawal has faded, the element trying to get you smoking again is your behaviour.

You get used to enjoying that first cigarette of the day or the one straight after dinner. Often cigarettes form an emotional prop to support us in times of stress or sadness.

All of these are the behavioural element at work and are far harder to break.

So stop smoking programs that deal directly with these aspects tend to be far more successful and lead to far longer-term results.

Stop smoking programs in this area may include hypnosis, reading books or deliberate behaviour adjustment based on the advice of experts and it is this type of product I recommend you start off with.

These aids will help you understand the triggers in your mind. You will learn effortlessly *what* causes you to want to smoke and how to change this emphasis so you no longer feel that you need a cigarette in these cases.

By going down this route, you take away the potential pain and discomfort of quitting smoking. Too many people are nervous about stopping. They’d like to do it, but are very wary about how unpleasant it is going to be and how much will power it will take. To many people it’s the hardest thing they’ve ever tried.

But that’s the old school method.

By changing your behaviour you will find it surprisingly easy to stop smoking. Withdrawal symptoms will be minor at worst. You’ll sail through it and wonder what everyone else finds so hard and about giving up the weed!

It really is a whole new experience I can assure you. And that’s coming from someone who has tried both ways. I used to try the old methods and could barely manage 12 hours of unbelievable discomfort before I gave in (again) and had a cigarette. Then one day I managed to quit without any side effects at all and I was literally shocked at how different an experience it was.

So don’t waste a minute. You’re online, looking for a solution to help you stop smoking. Make the most of it. Make today the day you find your solution. Get looking for stopping smoking behavioural books.
